The bank’s ability to harness technology likewise impressed the judges. Two events were particularly important. First was the roll-out of Money Transfer New Architecture, which began in 2004 and is due to be completed by 2006. This delivers global product parity, consistent service levels and transparency, regardless of currency, clearing system or location, for high-value payments for financial institutions and corporates. Second was phase two of the new EDI Centre processing platform, PRISMA, in Europe this April. PRISMA provides a common infrastructure for processing low-value and high-value payments, cheques and collections and will enhance the bank’s processing capacities worldwide.
“Deutsche Bank is committed to building and supporting a first class cash management platform serving our corporate and financial institutions clients,” says Andrew England, global head of product management. “The bank is a powerhouse of competencies that we have tightly integrated in our aligned GTB business.”
