As consumer, retail and leisure businesses return to life after the Covid-19 pandemic, mergers and acquisitions activity in the sector is doing likewise. The European CRL team at Royal Bank of Canada capital markets has been in the thick of it.

“CRL had a challenging market through the pandemic, which was followed by the supply chain crisis and then a fast-rising inflation and interest rate environment,” says Ed Boyce, RBC’s head of CRL Emea. “But there are signs of excitement on the horizon, and we are at the heart of that, particularly in the UK.”
