Whistleblowers claim to have uncovered billions of dollars worth of previously undetected transactions involving Standard Chartered and Iran-linked entities, including sanctioned companies and terrorist organisations, according to a US court filing on Friday. 

The transactions were discovered upon re-examining spreadsheets and documents provided to US authorities in 2012 and 2013.
